This is the first post of a series I am publishing about my friends’ places (some of those pictures have been published on >bmmZONE magazine). A place can be the protrait of the personality of its owner: and it is dramatically true in the case of my dear friend Natalia. She defines herself “A spiritual mind in a material girl”, because she loves (and studies) all the esoteric matters, but she is also mad for shopping! She invited me for a vegetarian and healthy lunch in her place that is a shocking pink mix of ethnic and kitsch staff. I adore it! I love her cats, both the real and the pink fishing one. And I like very much the paintings she makes (on commission too) with the astral planes (you can see a couple of them behind Natalia with the pink wig!). Have a look to her website.

Questo è il primo di una serie di post che pubblicherò sulle case delle mie amiche (alcune di queste immagini sono già state pubblicate all’interno di un servizio che tempo fa ho realizzato per la rivista >bmmZONE). Una casa può raccontare molto della personalità di chi la abita, e nel caso di Natalia questo è più che mai vero. Nat si definisce “A spiritual mind in a material girl”, perché da un lato è un’appassionata studiosa di materie esoteriche (dall’astrologia alla cristalloterapia, dalle filosofie orientali all’arte dei tarocchi…), ma dall’altro non rinuncia al piacere tutto terreno dello shopping! Così mi ha invitato a casa sua per un pranzo rigorosamente vegetariano, in un’esplosione di rosa shocking, circondate dal suo arredamento che, raccogliendo i ricordi dei sui numerosi viaggi in tutto il mondo, mixa etnico e kitsch. Io adoro la sua casa! Adoro i suoi gatti, sia quelli veri che quello rosa con la canna da pesca, souvenir dall’Indonesia. E mi piacciono molto i quadri che crea, legati allo zodiaco e al piano astrale individuale (anche su commissione). Potete vederne un paio alle sue spalle nell’ultima foto… quella in cui Natalia indossa una parrucca rosa. Date un’occhiata anche al suo sito.

Everybody is talking about Coachella! Last month Nymag.com and Refinery29 (my bibles to get updated about fashion worldwide news and US trends) were all about “What to wear in Coachella” and then “What they wore in Coachella”… And with They I mean the celebrities that went in Palm Spring to assist the concerts and the swimming pool parties.

But now let’s talk about me! Of course, I didn’t go to Coachella… I live in Italy! Damn!!! California is so far away. So, if you want to see beautiful fashion images of Coachella, go to Garance Doré’s blog (she was there and took really beautiful pictures). On Bobochic you will see just a pair of pictures that my newyorker friend Alessandro emailed to me. He also was sooo excited about it (“I’m going to Coachella!!!!” and “I’ve been in Coachella!!!!”…) that I  considered it my duty to pubish some of his pics, even more because he looks so trendy with his pink t-shirt and fluo blue sunglasses.

Tutti parlano di Coachella! Lo scorso mese Nymag.com e Refinery29 (che sono la mia bibbia quanto a news di moda e aggiornamenti sulle tendenze che vengono dagli States) erano tutto un: “Cosa indossare al Festival di Coachella” e poi “Cosa hanno indossato al Festival di Coachella”… riferendosi alle molte celebs avvistate ai concerti e ai party in piscina a Palm Spring.

Ma ora parliamo di me! Naturalmente, io non ci sono stata… Vivo in Italia! Che cavolo!!! La California è una meta troppo lontana per un weekend. Quindi, se volete vedere alcune immagini degli outfit di Coachella, visitate il blog di Garance Doré (lei c’era e, come sempre, ha postato bellissime foto). Quello che invece potete vedere su Bobochic è il reportage che mi ha mandato il mio amico newyorchese Alessandro. Era così eccitato all’idea di andarci (“Parto per Coachella!!!” e “Sono stato al Coachella!!!”…) che mi è sembrato carino pubblicare qualcuna della sue foto, tanto più che è così trendy con la sua maglietta rosa shocking e gli occhiali blu elettrico.

The first day of Milan Design Week has finished, and I have to admit: design people is pretty much better than fashion ones. The atmosphere is relaxed and funny and the entire city is involved in that big celebration of international deisgn. Today I’ve visited Moroso, Artemide, Alessi, Fritz Hansen, Baccarat…and I’ve seen the Ora-Ito sculpture in Via Montenapoleone. I’ll post some pics as soon as possible! Meanwhile have a look to this pretty window: it has been created by Elle Decor for La Perla. I love all these famous design pieces of forniture in their pink version! I want Jieldé Lamp in shocking pink!!!

Il primo giorno della Design Week a Milano è terminato e devo ammetterlo: la gente del design è molto meglio della gente della moda. L’atmosfera è rilassata e divertente, e l’intera città è coinvolta in questa celebrazione collettiva del design internazionale. Oggi ho visitato i flagship store di Moroso, Artemide, Alessi, Fritz Hansen, Baccarat, e ho visto la scultura di Ora-Ito in via Montenapoleone.  Posterò alcune immagini prima possibile. Nel frattempo che ne dite di questa vetrina creata da Elle Decor per La Perla? Non sono meravigliosi tutti questi pezzi di arredamento di design nella loro versione rosa? Voglio la lampada Jieldé rosa shocking!!!
